Is this more expensive than ChatGPT?
Per-user, sometimes. Big Tech assistants keep a copy of what you type, often to train on it; Hush keeps nothing and runs on privately owned hardware. You pay for privacy you actually own, for less than a coffee a day, that is the honest comparison.
What is a "token"?
Roughly three-quarters of a word. The Personal plan's 2 million tokens is about 1.5 million words a month, far more than most people can read, let alone write.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Sign in to a website. That is the entire setup. Nothing to download, nothing for IT to approve.
Do you store my conversations?
Your web-chat history is saved encrypted on your own device so you can return to it, and deleted the moment you delete it, and it never reaches our servers. We never train on your data and never analyse it for marketing. API requests are not stored at all. The full detail is on our Security page.
You are a new company. Why should I trust you?
Fair question, and we would rather you did not simply trust us. Everything we claim is checkable: the company at Companies House (17278687) and the ICO (ZC126901), and the privacy in the product itself, because nothing you type is stored on any server anywhere and the free two-week pilot leaves you a report from your own audit log. Every company starts with its first customer, and we would rather earn you on your own real work than with someone else's testimonial.
What happens to my work if Hush disappears?
Less than you would lose with any provider you have used. Your chat history lives encrypted on your own device, never on our servers, so it cannot go down with us. Your full export is yours any day, within 24 hours of asking, and there is no lock-in to unwind. The subscription would end. Nothing of yours would end with it.
