Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hush AI service at hush-ai.uk and any associated API endpoints (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Acceptable Use Policy.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. In that case, "you" refers to both you individually and the organisation.
2. The service
Hush AI provides access to large language models running on hardware we own for text generation, summarisation, drafting, and analysis. The Service is delivered via a web interface and an API compatible with OpenAI client libraries.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will give at least 30 days' notice to the email address on your account.
3. Accounts and access
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at [email protected].
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if we are required to do so by law.
4. AI outputs, important limitations
You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and deciding whether to use any AI-generated output. We accept no liability for decisions made, actions taken, or advice given on the basis of AI outputs without independent professional verification.
5. Your content
You retain all rights in the content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). We do not claim any ownership of Your Content and do not use it for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.
Your Content submitted via the API is processed transiently in memory and is not stored by us. Web-chat conversation history is stored encrypted on your own device, never on our servers, until you delete it, and is never used for model training. You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to submit any content, including any personal data of third parties.
Where your organisation has signed a Data Processing Agreement with us, the terms of that agreement govern the processing of personal data in Your Content.
6. Acceptable use
Your use of the Service is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy. We reserve the right to suspend access immediately if we reasonably believe you are in breach.
7. Fees and payment
Current pricing is published at /pricing. All prices are in GBP and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. We will give at least 30 days' written notice of any price increase.
Pilot use is free of charge for the duration of the agreed pilot period (typically two weeks). No payment details are required during a pilot.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. If payment fails, we will notify you and give two weeks to resolve the issue before suspending access.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are given for partial months.
On cancellation, you may request a full export of your usage logs within 30 days. After 90 days, your account data is permanently deleted.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Hush AI's total aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in that period.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity.
- We shall not be liable for any loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated outputs without independent professional verification.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by English law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hush AI against any claims, losses, or expenses arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your use of AI outputs without independent verification, (c) your submission of content you did not have the right to process, or (d) your breach of any applicable law.
11. Intellectual property
The Hush AI name, logo, website design, and software are the property of Hush AI. These Terms grant you no rights to use our trademarks or branding.
The underlying language models are used under open-source licences (Apache 2.0 or equivalent). Those licences govern the models themselves; they do not transfer to you through the Service.
12. Data protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR. For business customers processing personal data through the Service, a Data Processing Agreement is available on request and governs the processing relationship.
Hush AI is registered with the ICO as a data controller (registration ZC126901).
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance to the email address on your account. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Hush AI is a drafting and summarisation assistant. It is not a source of medical, legal, or financial advice. Always verify AI-generated outputs before acting on them.
