AI for HR & People Teams

Your people's records are private. Keep them that way.

Hush drafts the writing HR produces all day, policies, letters, investigation notes, job descriptions, on privately owned AI hardware. We do not save your data, we process it, then wipe it. Employee names, grievances and performance details are never stored, never sent to a US cloud and never used to train a model.

A Microsoft lawyer told the French Senate, under oath, he could not guarantee your data would never be handed to US authorities. We are a UK company on privately owned hardware, with no US parent, so that question does not arise here. Read what was said.

The Problem

Employee data is the most sensitive data you hold.

Grievances, disciplinary notes, sickness records, performance concerns, pasted into a free chatbot to "just tidy up the wording", they become a processing activity nobody assessed: no agreement with the provider, unknown retention, and with any US-owned tool, exposure to US legal process under the CLOUD Act wherever the servers sit. Special-category data (health, union membership) raises the bar further. The honest position most organisations are in is that HR is already using AI quietly, and nobody can say under what rules.

Hush AI is a drafting and summarisation assistant. It does not make employment decisions, assess candidates, or replace HR or legal judgement. A human must review every output, and you should take professional advice on employment-law matters. Always verify AI-generated outputs before acting on them.

Frequently asked questions

Can HR use AI with employee data safely?

Yes, with an approved tool and a clear policy. Hush AI drafts policies, letters, job descriptions and investigation notes on privately owned hardware, so employee and special-category data stays in the UK, is never used for training, and carries a one-click audit trail. A person reviews every output.

Is special-category employee data safe to use with Hush AI?

Hush processes and stores content only on privately owned hardware, outside US CLOUD Act jurisdiction, and never trains on it. Special-category data still requires a lawful basis and a DPIA, but the tool is designed so that data does not leave privately owned infrastructure.

Does Hush AI make employment decisions?

No. Hush drafts documents under human review. It does not decide grievances, score candidates or take employment decisions, those remain with people.

Do you have HR case studies or reference teams?

We will be straight with you: we are an early-stage UK company, and you would be among our first teams. So rather than showing you another team's numbers, the free pilot generates your evidence, a written report built from your own audit-log export that is yours to keep whether or not you continue. The company itself is verifiable today at Companies House (17278687) and the ICO (ZC126901).
